I've treated thousands of homes, vehicles, and properties across the USA since 2013 using BIOSWEEP. Our process destroys odors at the molecular level instead of masking them. Every project is meticulously treated to permanently eliminate the odor at hand.
BioSweep of Chicagoland started as a family business in 2013. My dad, my brother, and I saw a need for an odor removal service in Chicagoland that guaranteed their work. We saw the lack of results from services using ozone machines and foggers; we experienced companies attempting to cover up cigarette smoke odors with paint and primers — we really did our research. We found BIOSWEEP technology to be the only odor removal service that efficiently, effectively, and permanently eliminated odors.
We hit the ground running in 2013 and grinded for 5 years. We cold called on car dealerships and apartment complexes, attended conferences, joined small business referral groups, and gave countless presentations. Eventually, we began to cut our teeth on projects big and small. We not only learned how to permanently eliminate odors, but really got it down to an art on how to properly treat different odors in different spaces. No two projects are the same, and we approach every new one with the experience we've gained on the thousands before it.
My brother and I purchased our dad's share of the company near the end of 2017. We began a successful 50/50 partnership that lasted for 5 years. During this time, we really started to focus our time not only with servicing our now daily customers (car dealerships, apartment complexes, real estate agents), but also using our technology to tap into other markets. We began to grow our business in the insurance industry using the BIOSWEEP technology on fire claims — both residential and commercial losses. The BIOSWEEP technology eliminates VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from fire-damaged material. We found a way to help homeowners and businesses safely return to their space in a much quicker manner. I grew closer to my brother through helping people all around Chicagoland with our service. I am beyond thankful for the years we spent in business together, and I am so lucky to have him not only as a brother but as a best friend.
I learned a lot about myself in 2023. When my brother and I were working together, we were able to evenly split the workload and easily manage the demand we had across all verticals of business (car dealerships, apartment complexes, real estate agents, and insurance carriers) as well as administration work in the office. Once he left, I had to reinvent the way that my day-to-day looked. I woke up earlier, worked later, and traveled for work more often, but I never grew tired of it — if anything, I was even more motivated than I was before. Every aspect of success for my business fell on me, and I loved it. The phone calls never stopped, and I stayed diligent. I went into 2023 scared and uncertain, and I came out of it with more confidence and pride than I've ever felt in my life. Since then, we've established ourselves as the leading odor removal company on the market. We have long-lasting relationships from dealerships to property management companies to real estate agents to insurance adjusters. We continue to hire and train qualified teammates to bring the best service possible. I am so proud to serve Chicagoland and work hard for the people that make our community what it is. Waking up every day and being able to directly impact people's lives with my work is the best feeling in the world. I strive to make Chicagoans healthier and happier in their living space one BioSweep Treatment at a time.
BioSweep of Chicagoland is a service. Our team is a business on wheels that comes to you. BIOSWEEP technology is proprietary to our company and not a product for sale.
BIOSWEEP is the technology we use to perform our service. You cannot purchase a BIOSWEEP machine as a consumer. If someone asks "where can I buy BioSweep," the answer is that they simply cannot — it is a service, performed by a certified operator, on-site at your property.
A real estate agent reached out to us with a historic home on the northside of Chicago. He said that his client had smoked on and off in the home over the last 30 years and he was nervous that he would be unable to sell the home due to the severity of the smoke odor. He also mentioned that other options like tearing out walls to eliminate odor would not only be extremely expensive, but also ruin the character of the home. In this particular case, we inspected the property beforehand to get a better idea of how bad the smoke damage was throughout the home. I assured him that we would eliminate 100% smoke odor — GUARANTEED. We performed an in-person estimate of the home on a Monday, treated the home on Wednesday, and walked through with the agent on Thursday morning. Zero smoke odor. The agent had multiple offers on the home that Saturday. This is a great example of being proactive on a listing. The potential buyers that were shown the home had no idea that the previous owners were smokers because there was no smoke odor present. We have since worked with this realtor on two other listings — another home that smelled like smoke and a condo that smelled like dog urine.
A lady reached out to us regarding her elderly parent's home that she frequently visited. Unfortunately, her father had just passed away and was a smoker in the home for several years. She told me that she couldn't bear being in her parent's home for more than 15 minutes because of the way that her lungs and throat felt from the residual smoke odor of her father's cigarette smoking. After speaking on the phone to her about the home, I assured her that we would permanently eliminate the smoke odor. We treated the home the following week and she was thrilled with the results. "I just came from my mom's house and all I can say is that you deserve a medal. That's the most comfortable I've been in her house in 20 years. Wow you did an amazing job!" Making customers happy and comfortable in their family's home is the reason we do what we do.
There are certain cases where we cannot guarantee full removal of smoke odor, and we'd like to highlight one of those cases because the BioSweep Treatment can still be highly effective. A first-time homeowner reached out to us and said that when she was shown the home she could only smell air fresheners. After the air fresheners were removed, the home began to smell strongly of cigarette smoke. She had a company clean her HVAC system, scrub her walls, and paint two coats of KILZ in an attempt to cover up the smoke smell. The smell was better, but still strong throughout her home. We explained to her that since the smoke odor has now been covered and sealed into the wall, we could no longer guarantee 100% smoke removal. We cut our price in half and told her that although we couldn't guarantee results, we would still perform the BioSweep Treatment as though she had never painted. She agreed. We performed an overnight treatment the next day. Afterwards, she wrote us a Google review: "I can say with confidence that it smells great now and even the mustiness I had in the closets is no longer there. I am beyond ecstatic with the results!" It is important to call us before you paint, but even if you do paint prior to our service we can still be successful.
"Our guarantee is extremely important to us — we realize it separates us from our competition. Our team takes pride in the work that we do and will always be upfront and honest with each of our clients prior to performing our treatment. If odor returns after our treatment and the original source has been resolved, our team will provide a secondary treatment at no extra cost. No invoice, no negotiation. Terms are provided in writing at time of service.
"We guarantee results in about 9 out of every 10 projects that we do, as there are a few instances where we cannot guarantee 100% odor removal. The main instance is when a space is painted prior to our treatment. If a space is painted, the smoke-damaged wall is now sealed with paint and we cannot provide our warranty. Another instance is when a home has pet urine and the owner does not remove the urine-damaged carpet or floor. In order for us to provide our warranty, you must remove the urine-damaged floor so that we can perform our BioSweep Treatment on the exposed subfloor. In the instances where we do not provide our 100% odor removal guarantee and you still want us to perform our treatment, we will cut our price in half. If you have an odor in your home, please call us first. We would love to be the guaranteed solution to your space's odor problem."
