Pet Odor Removal

Pet odor that won’t go away?
We treat the source, not just the surface.

Pet urine soaks through carpet into the subfloor. Treating only what you can see leaves the source untouched. BIOSWEEP treats the floor where the odor lives.

Why surface treatments don’t hold

The smell isn’t on the surface. It’s in the structure.

Urine soaks through carpet and padding into the subfloor. The good news is the molecular process behind BIOSWEEP reaches where surface treatments cannot.

The problem
Why pet urine is harder than smoke

Urine soaks through carpet and padding into the subfloor. Once it’s in the wood or concrete, surface treatments and replacement carpet sit on top of an active odor source. Two weeks later, the smell is back. That’s why most pet odor jobs that “didn’t work” didn’t actually treat the floor.

The fix
How BIOSWEEP handles it

When the carpet and pad are pulled and the subfloor is exposed, BIOSWEEP’s five-stage process destroys the urea and uric acid molecules in the wood or concrete itself. Once the source is gone, replacement flooring stays clean. Same process works on hardwood with pet-urine staining.

How it works

From phone call to permanent result

Most Chicagoland jobs run on the same four-step path. Same-week scheduling is standard.

1
Free phone estimate
Tell us the type of pet, how long the odor has been there, and what flooring is involved. We’ll tell you on the call whether your job qualifies for the full guarantee.
2
Remove carpet and pad to expose the subfloor
For a guaranteed result, the urine-damaged carpet and pad must be removed so BIOSWEEP can reach the subfloor directly. Most clients coordinate this with their flooring contractor.
3
BIOSWEEP treats the subfloor
We deploy units sized to the affected area. Five-stage photocatalytic oxidation destroys urea and uric acid molecules in the wood or concrete itself.
4
Verification + written guarantee
We verify the odor is fully eliminated before we leave. New flooring stays clean. If the smell returns, we re-treat at no charge.

The BioSweep Guarantee

If the odor returns after our treatment and the original source has been resolved, we come back at no charge. No invoice, no claims process. Terms in writing before the job begins. The guarantee transfers to a buyer at closing on realtor listings. Read the full terms →

FAQ

Questions Chicagoland homeowners ask

Do I need to remove the carpet first?
For a guaranteed result, yes. The urine has soaked through into the subfloor. If the carpet and pad stay in place, BIOSWEEP cannot reach the source. Without subfloor access we’ll cut our price in half, treat everything we can reach, and tell you upfront that we cannot extend the written guarantee. Full guarantee terms.
Will BIOSWEEP remove years-old pet urine?
Yes. The age of the urine doesn’t matter to the molecular process. What matters is whether we can reach the molecules. Exposed subfloor = full guarantee. Sealed under paint or new flooring = the 50% reduced-price option.
Does it work on hardwood floors?
Yes. BIOSWEEP can treat exposed hardwood. If the urine has permeated deep into the wood, refinishing or replacement may still be needed for visual reasons, but the odor source is eliminated.
Multiple pets in the same home?
Same treatment, same result. The molecular process is identical whether the source is one dog or several cats. We size the BIOSWEEP deployment to the square footage involved.
Will my own pets smell the treatment when they come back?
The treatment dissipates fully before re-entry. Most clients schedule the treatment overnight while pets stay elsewhere. By the time pets return, there’s nothing for them to react to.
Does dander and animal odor in upholstery work the same way?
Yes. Same five-stage process treats furniture, drapes, and HVAC where dander and animal odor have embedded over the years.
